Many years ago when I was in my early twenties I was poor and desperate for cash.  I didn’t have enough money for my upcoming rent obligation, or enough to buy decent food.  At the low point in my life I found myself eating out of a trash can behind a McDonald’s restaurant in Hollywood, CA.
